Dude good luck on your quest. My two cents, mark all the way be it lV or V you'll never regret. I've been down the recto path a couple of times and great as these amps are there is simply nothing on earth that compares to the mark series. May your journey be fruitful and filled with boogies...

Sorry dude but you are way off. I had the g sys with my stiletto and brilliant as it was it was just a total overkill for my needs. Sold the stiletto and got myself a mk4. Used a dl4, ehx mmwhazarai and ended with a boss dd 20. No tone suckage and as it is I like the boss best of the delays...

+1 on r2 it's very underrated. I spend most of my time on the lead channel tho but when I wanna do a little less over the top r2 is the way to go.

I'm having similar problems with my mk4 a. I was beginning to guess it was them preamp tubes since they are the same age as my amp and probably about time to swap them out for new ones.

I once used a tc g system with a stiletto. Then I moved to a mk4 and used the boss gt 8 with that one. For my ears I liked the boss better.
