while I don't own a Stilleto combo......Mesa's dimensions for it are as follows:
H 20 3/4" x W 26 3/4" x D 12 3/4"
That is directly from their pricing guide.

The Recto stand alone 2x12 is as follows:
H17 1/2 x W30 1/8 x D14 1/4
The Stilleto 2x12 combo is as follows (I know the height would be larger):
H20 3/4 W26 /34 D12 3/4
So the Width and Depth of the two cabinets vary quite a bit
I know that their exterior dimensions for the 1x12 Stilleto Ace...
Recently I was actually shopping for either a Roadster or a Stilleto combo. I thought the features in the Roadster were absolutely incredible and had my heart set on trying to track one down. Unfortunately, I have to drive 50-100 miles to get to a MB dealer.
So I finally make it up to the...
That is a Good point. I had thought of that.....but I'm not hell bent on making an exact copy. I do want to get as close as I can. In doing so, I am making a few assumptions and that will most likely cause some variations.
I had planned on using 3/4" furniture grade Pine or Oak, assuming that...
Maybe this crude sketch will help you all with what I'm looking for. I need the measurement for the distance between the bottom of the cabinet and the top of the speaker chamber.
Once I have that......then the only other thing I could use would be to know if the cabinet has a baffle in it or...
This may be kind of hard to answer.....then again maybe not :D
I'm in the process of building my own 2x12 hardwood cabinet to house my old DSL401 combo. Since the stock DSL401 is only a single 12 and comes with a crappy stock speaker, I am opting to make the custom cabinet a 2x12 with V30's...
I got a chance to put a few minutes on a Roadster head and 4x12 cab last night. It was kind of spur of the moment so I did not have my guitar and had to play through a PRS.
In my 15 minutes of "playing" I wasn't able to get into too much depth as far as some of the features like the rectifier...
Thanks Robstar.
The only big plus of the Roadster...dispite it's weight is the fact that I most likely would not need to be another amplifier for a long time as it will cover a large array of sounds from clean to heavey, should my style or tastes change over the years.
I would also like to...
Thanks again everyone for all your comments!
I mostly play a mahogony Les Paul Standard and then I have a modified Ibanez Joe Satriani for the fast/heavy stuff.
Oh, and as far as using a head and 2x12 cab....while I'm not 100% opposed to doing that, the stage we play on is fairly small and...
I play a little of everything... Metal, rock, R&B, Blues, Gospel, jazz...so I need something versatile...
Do any of the above mentioned amps have any known reliability issues?
If not, then the tone will make the decision for me...
Thanks!

Hey all,
I'm thinking of biting the bullet and going for a Mesa Boogie combo.
A little back story...I've played/owned just about every combo amp under $1400 and have yet to find one that I really like. The closest I came was a Marshall DSL401, but I had trouble keeping it running as it loved...
