Hey
I'm looking for an overdrive pedal or boost pedal to change the sound on channel 2 - I'm going for a weezer'ish (make believe era) tone.
Any suggestions?
The Line 6 flextone III does the hi-gain thing much better than the VOX. You should test them out side by side. Also, consider getting a used Vetta II - you can create some very unique sounds with that.
No power? The volume difference between an f-50 and road king for example (say they were being run through a 4x12) is very little...watts aren't indicative of volume in a linear manner.
hey fusion,
you should check out some music shops wherever you are in Asia as you'll have a good chance of finding discontinued amp models regardless of make.
Could someone explain the difference between 'pre-amp' distortion andd just raising the master volume? I.e just raising the gain versus master volume.
It's only when I have my master volume way up I can get a huge variety of heavy tones...and at a low volume just messing around with the 'gain'...
Hey,
I recently purchased an F-50...but I understand there are 6 tubes..but at the back i can only see 2 tubes labeled '6l6'. Behind that there are 4 silver hollow metal things...so my question is are there supposed to be more tubes?
lol sorry if this is a silly question..but i'm coming from...
I tried out the F-50 today actually and a single recto PLUS a rect-o-verb.
I liked the gain channels equally on all of them, but the F-50 clean channel is INSANE!!!!
I've honestly never heard a better clean from a combo! (I know most will disagree here!)
I do have a line 6 POD which I could use in between my guitar and the F-50 (neutral setting/tube preamp model with a drive boost).
Maybe this would give it that extra push if it did indeed need it?
Hey everyone,
I was wondering if the F-50's gain channel could cover heavier types of music. Think Metallica (load era), Hoobastank, or even Linkin Park.
(I don't like some of those bands too much but do like their guitar tones).
Thanks
