yes, i remember that thread. going the other way appears to be fine in conjunction with the properly rated tubeset.

i'm not a tech. i think the problem is going the other way, using el34 with 6l6 bias, that will blow stuff up. i just got through workin' it out for an hour straight. killer tone, the amp runs cool as a cucumber. remember, this is recommended with tubes of a specific rating. give bob a call!

remember, a little birdie told me about this, its our secret. 101 bucks for this set, 90 bucks for the same set with e34l outputs, which is a hot rod el34. great tubes, i have 'em in my matchless clubman.

ecc83's, 6l6's. one of the ecc's is matched, goes in the pi slot. that may have alot to do with the transformation. the amp seemed to be fighting itself, now it lets go of the notes with a beautiful bloom and depth, and no harshness. the drive is alot smoother as well. the interesting thing to...

    listen up lsc'ers

paid a visit to bob @ eurotubes today, i left with a full retube for the lsc. what a difference, not subtle at all in this case. the mud is gone, the harsh brittle highs are gone, replaced with a wonderful balance across the spectrum, highly touch sensitive, and BALLS. its like a different amp...

    is the LSC "dumblesque"?

i've never played a dumble, i have had the pleasure of hearing sonny landreth play through his, (pointed right at my head) a few times. (wow)! the lsc is highly touch sensitive, clean or dirty, even moreso on the 100 watt setting. this is what causes some players to be indifferent to the...

    my new LSC

wow, finally got to air it out, now i get it!... haven't quite dialed in the clean yet, it seems a bit muddy or not quite as open as i'm used to (victoria and alessandro) but god, i'm in love with the dirt all over again. this is some righteous clean dirt!!! i've been working out with a new EJ...

being a former jim kelley owner, i'd love to hear from anyone that's actually tried this. my amp is hung up in the fed ex system, its not here yet![/i]

    new LSC owner

well, its on the way, have it in a week. LSC 1-12 standard blue w/ grey grille. so tempted by the special, i just need that big 6l6 tone. took me awhile to decide, that's for sure. they seem to sound really good with the output set low, that's the icing on the cake for me. a monster amp that can...
