Why does the 212 combo cost way more than the 112 combo? $600 vs. $1200 new? that's double! I figure I buy a new acoustic guitar and the 112 combo instead of a Mark V!

I just got a green stripe Simul-Class Mark III that I'm experimenting with and love. Also looking at selling my Road King I and buying a Mark IV. Could someone explain the sonic differences b/n the two amps? I read somewhere that the green stripe is closer to a Mark IV than earlier stripes...

OK cool. The half-power (Class A) mode is killer for Gilmour style blues in lead channel. Great sustain and juicy tone with an Epi Elitist Les Paul.

I saw some info engraved on the top of the tranny (looking from behind, back left -- OT??) It's hard to read b/c of angle but I will check for that model # again. Thanks for the info.

yeah thx. I read those responses after I posted that. Guess that means half-power = Class A (15 watts???) I honestly don't know how many watts this head runs at in Class A and simul-class. I'm guessing 15 and 85 but not sure. Mark IV with four 6L6 is advertised as 85 watts on the Boogie...

hey guys, thx for the responses. sounds good to me. this amp is a monster. i have a road king too and this thing with a genz-benz 2x12 scared me in lead channel around 6 & 6 volume. kicks ***! but I wish it had better artificial harmonic (screams!) like the road king.
