The power tubes were easy to replace on my Mark IV short head, didnt need to take anything out. However the preamp tubes i'll have to pull the front off. Not sure about the combo though

GCX is a bit expensive to do the work of the FU-3 unless you have the Ground Control already and plan on using some loops. I'd just either purchase a new Footswitch, build a 6x1/4" footswitch, or buy a used FU-3, lik ethe one i have for sale for $115 shipped ;)
