    Anyone Use... 1x12 Three-Quarter Back™ Guitar Cabinet?

I use 2 of them - the 3/4 back 1-12 widebody cab is a winner. They're small/portable, but handle the volume of the V very well. They sound much bigger than you'd expect for a 1-12 cab. Well worth the money, and a great cab choice for the MkV head.

Problems with the Mark V so far?

***Please read this entire post - I hope it can help some of you with footswitch-related problems.*** Yesterday my 2nd head developed the exact same problem as my first - ch2 lost Reverb, Graphic, and FX Loop. Long story short, it appears that the amp itself is fine, but the power...

Good 1x12 Cab for Mark V

I use a pair of 3/4 back widebody 1x12's with the Black Shadow Celestion MC90 speakers - sounds way bigger than you'd expect for 1x12's.

Problems with the Mark V so far?

Unboxed and fired up my new head today - prior one had non-functional Graphic, FX Loop and Reverb in Ch2 only. GC was very cool with the exchange, my new head was unopened NIB - as I wanted (as it should be with a $2,000 amplifier). I'm amazed - I already knew it was an exceptional amp, but...

Problems with the Mark V so far?

Mine head has a pretty major problem in Channel 2 only - the reverb, graphic, and fx loop are non-functional. Only had it a week, so swapping out for a new one this weekend. Can't wait to hear ch2 in all it's glory - amazing amp.

    studio pre sound fades away

I've used EuroTubes and been quite pleased. I've more recently bought a Tung Sol gold-pin reissue, and a Mullard (long-plate?) reissue, and have been very happy with the results. I actually plan on getting 2 or 3 more of each to fill out my Studio :D

    studio pre sound fades away

I've recently gotten a Studio pre too - I'd suggest putting "known/working" tubes in it first. The Graphic EQ itself is solid state, but I think is driven by V2 - the second tube from the left, as you're looking from the top. Your Studio is at least 17 years old, so you should probably start...

what's your favorite NON Mesa/Boogie Preamp??

Of the few I've owned (ADA MP1, SansAmp PS1, and Marshall JMP1) my fav by far was the JMP1. With outboard EQ and tube poweramp, is pretty convincing cranked mic'ed Marshall tone. Loving my new (to me) Studio Pre now! Also own Triaxis.
