    Occasional volume fade LSC

I have recieved this reply from Mansons: "Westside (UK distibuters) say they have no record of anything like this happening to the Lonestar specifically. However, they did say that it is something they see quite often in all their amps and they say it is the result of a dirty jacket socket...

    Occasional volume fade LSC

Thanks for your reply. I have e-mailed Mansons in Exeter and asked them to contact Westside (the distributers) to see what they think. It is not V3. It is almost certainly the circuit which joins the loop internaly when no jacks are in the send and return sockets. Probably poor contacts as...

    Occasional volume fade LSC

I have had my LSC (2007 2x12) for 3 months. Sounds fantastic. I occasionaly notice a volume fluctuation and a little crackle. This only happens when the effects loop is activated and there is nothing plugged into the loop. I have no problems when the loop is on hard bypass or I actually use the...

    LSC new today

I picked up my new LSC 2x12 today. My history is complicated. Two and a half years ago my beloved Fender The Twin (1994 Evil) died after more than 10 years. I tried to replace it but the only (3 channel amp) available at a reasonable cost was a Marshall JCM 2000 TSL 100. I tried the combo but...

    LSC Rectifier Tube

I pick up my new LSC 2x12 tomorrow - can't wait!!! I always like to keep spare tubes and I have a new Groove Tube GT-5AR4 - can this be used instead of the 5U4 in the LSC?

OD Pedal for Express 5:50 2x12

Given that Blues and Burn mode are not foot switchable I decided to get a pedal to give me either a crunchy blues sound or a more overdriven sound for Santana or Gary Moore type sustain. I have settled on the Carl Martin Hot Drive'n Boost Mark 3 pedal. What a great choice for this amp. I use...

    Does LSS Cut it Live

5:50 Express 2x12 plenty loud enough for a full band. Playing medium pubs and clubs we do not mike the backline at all. The Express has fullness and cut which does not seem to interfere with bass or vocals too much.

    Does LSS Cut it Live

I tried a LSS Head and 2x12 cab for a week. At home it was great. When I played it live with the band - a not too loud acoustic rock with drums band - I had trouble hearing my Rickenbacker 12 cut through. There was just not enough clean head room. Les Paul through Ch2 was fine but still very...

    Express 5:50 2x12 First Gig

Thanks newysurfer. I agree that the crunch on channel 1 is very close to burn on channel 2 (if th gain is up high). I just love the clean sound with my ricky 12. One of the best sounds ever. Also the blues setting on channel 2 is such an incredible all round lead tone - thick, clear and...

    Express 5:50 2x12 First Gig

I have had an Express 2x12 for a week. I bought it to replace a TSL 100 H and 2x12 cab - too big and needs to be very loud. I wanted a 2x12 combo and I stumbled across the Express. Sounds great at home on 5W. I was mazed at how good it was at a gig. It is much louder than I thought and sound...
