Are you guys talking about the old ones with the OG VHT logo? Ive been looking on reverb for some used ones and was thinking about getting one of those. Do I miss out on anything compared to the new ones?
After looking at some videos and reading about the fryette Im really liking this option as well. Do you think it would be closer to the JP2Cs tone from its power amp? Definitely might get this over a 2/90 though.
I was thinking about those fryette power amps as well but they seemed pretty expensive as well and I feel like a 2:90 would be closer to the JP2C which I would like to maintain.
Ironically ive actually been using an OG marshall valve state 8100 as my stereo right. One of those would be nice tbh but idk how much i would be doing WDW over stereo and want to maintain the JP2C tone the best I can. Definitely going to be thinking about this now though.
Im strictly building this just for my own sick dream rig entertainment purposes and making a sick rack solo professional style rack the best I can. I know I could just get like a FM9 or quad cortex. I'm Probably going to go for a power amp but thats why im wondering if anyones got good...
Hey guys. So Im looking at getting a stereo power amp for my JP2C and I wanted to ask if anyone knows what power amp would be the closest to it or good options. I know of all the mesa stereo power amps but not sure what would be best for the JP. I was going to go for a stereo 2:90. Not really...
interesting i mean I'm prob gunna swap new tubes anyway for my preamps eventually and will still just get one anyway but I'll go in not expecting it to do much with the SPA tube. Also the shred mode is awesome especially for super high gain sounds and drop tune. I've been using Ola Englunds...
Interesting my JP2C pops when I swap to any channel after just starting it up and only does it for the first swap. Its been like that since I got it pretty sure. Saw a lot of people saying they get that with some mesas and its static building up.
I'm probably just gunna replace my preamp tubes...
I usually start on channel 2 so if i forget to swap my channels and I get a loud pop its not as loud if i swap to my clean instead of the distorted channel. I know that's a common thing with mesa mine pops really loud if I don't like pre swap around the channels after just turning on the amp...
So I had some bad tubes in my JP2C and fixed some humming issues I was having but now I'm having some other issue that I'm not sure if normal or not.
First thing I was wondering is it normal for my amp to make some humming even when on standby through my cab and I mean VERY quiet. I can still...
