    Weezer mkI fx loop mod

The FX-loop mod allowed you to turn the front panel Master Volume control WAY UP, and the Post FX LEVEL rear control to dial back the insane decibels that would kill small animals. NOT the same as the re-issue even if they both had effects loops. That 1978 modded Mark I was a beast. But as all...

    Boogiebabies?

The Buick Grand National is out of my hands now with the ex-wife. I do have a 12,000 mile 2001 Viper GTS now, and will be eating Vienna Sausages and Saltines before it goes anywhere.

    Mark III 105 voltages

I would burn through those Chinese tubes like they were candy. The USA made ones will last a lifetime.

Mark IIC+ - Guide for Dummies

I'll agree, George. Never had any issue with Doug, or any of his products. 8)

    Boogiebabies?

They are only worth what people will pay for them, and none of mine are for sale. 8) Ed (Boogiebabies) has dibs on the one he sold me.

    Mark v (90) + Les Paul + x pickups

SD Pearly gates (neck) and Custom-Custom (bridge) with my goldtop and C+ with EVM-12L cabs. The CC rolls off some of the brightness compared to the Custom 5, or Custom 8. I swapped the magnet between an Alnico 2,5,and 8. Came back to the Alnico 2. It worked better in that guitar.

    SOB Headshells

I can't recall ever seeing ANY Mark I or Mark IIA long heads.

    Boogie MkIIA FX loop question

The Mark IIA does not have a true effects loop. That did not come about until the Mark IIB.

Anyone replace their IIc+ with a Mark V?

I would say, go with what you have. The only one that I would even consider is the 35 watt Mark V, and that would be if you had to have a lower wattage amp.

    Weezer mkI fx loop mod

Had a 60/100 Mark I with this mod years ago. It helped with the volume issue and worked very well with an old Boss OD-1 overdrive pedal out front.

What Mark is this?? Jeff Watson 1986

Top one looks to be a Mark II C or C+, since it does not have a pull function on the MID pot.

    fillmore 25 Sudden volume drop

Don't rule out a preamp tube, either. Power tubes will usually show out in a physical way, preamp tubes may not.

    What's your fave speaker?

I believe the EVM-12L is the perfect match for a C+ in the 2x12 and 4x12 metal grille Boogie cabs (I have one of each) with the top half closed. I do think there are better options for open back situations. I also think that my EVH Stealth sounds good with its matching cab (Greenback...

Have prices on IIc+'s doubled in the last couple months?

Lots of "treble hook" fishing going on. Sometimes you can snag a buyer by the gills. This is also a way of driving up the market value, by C+ owners selling amongst each other, at inflated prices.

    ISO: Mesa Boogie Database?

I have personally seen both the 12399 and 12400 Mark II C+ amps and they are both 60/100 original C+ amps. 8)

    IIc+ (RP10/SP10) vs. IIb (RP9C/SP9C)

From my experiences, I have liked the Mark IIB loop-mod amp better than any Mark III, except for one 75 watt red stripe, and it was a freak.

    ISO: Mesa Boogie Database?

Good luck, even MESA is not real firm on the early amp history.

WTB: Early MK I Combo or Head Cab

I guess you are looking for the early Mark I because of the wider bolt spacing?

What series EL34 and 6L6 Mesa Tubes should I get for my Mark III red stripe?

I have seen some really "cockeyed" pins in the STR 440 tubes in years past. If it is bad enough, you could have that problem.

Xotic RC Booster: The OD Pedal Alternative (for Rectos)

I use the RC when I split the Humbuckers to bring the signal back up to the same level and still get that single coil bite.
