NAD: Mesa Boogie Mark VII head. WOW

I have always found that using NOS RFT 12AX7's warm up and fatten up high gain amps. I have one in the V3 of my Mark IV (old Mullard in V1, Amperex bugle boy in V4) and my lead channel sounds great (as does R2). I use them in my Splawn Super sport as well as that amp can get really bright, with...

Looking for Mark IV Lead Gain Pull Fat pots.

this is the pot that is on the Mesa site but it doesn't look like the one in the picture, it's a solid shaft. I'll get the broken one back from my amp tech but I don't know who would fix something like this. (I'll ask him if he can do it but I doubt he's interested in fixing pots) I should be...

Looking for Mark IV Lead Gain Pull Fat pots.

so my IV is with my amp tech right now , this is what the pot we need looks like (it's the top one) it's a flat thinner pot than what is available with a push/pull these days. so I did get this pot and they assured me it would fit https://amprepairparts.com/pvcps.htm or this one...

Best pedals to improve the Mark series overdrive tone

I'm with Woodbutcher65 on this one. I have a Mark IV early "B" and a Splawn Supersport EL-34 50 watt head and a peavey 6505MH (back up head) The tonality between the Splawn (which is basically a boutique JCM 800 2203) and the Mark IV is pretty big. The OP described the tones he was looking...

    Mesa Mark IV B changes

I 've owned an "A" a later "B" and currently own a very early, what's called a "transitional B" the "A" and my current "B" have attached chords. the R2 on the "A" to me was useless, not only because it didn't have much gain, it was just a flubby mess. The lead channel on the "A" was a bit less...

How old were you when you started playing guitar?

12, I had been studying classical cello since 3rd grade and then one day my older sister bought home "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" and Aerosmith "Get your wings" that was the end of the cello. Played till I was 22, band imploded , I went back to college and didn't touch a guitar again until I was 40...

Looking for Mark IV Lead Gain Pull Fat pots.

I'm in the same boat, the plastic stem on mine broke. I was able to super glue it back in and it works but it's stuck in pulled , and if I wiggle it the gains cuts in and out. Mesa support has not been much help, they don't carry them any longer. :(

is that black h/s/s form the 2010 era of MIJ Charvels? I used to have one just like it. also a fan of the Red Bishop arms, I used them on all of my Edge trems. I have a Dark Amber as well, just dropped a zebra set of Custom 5/Liquifire's sounds way better , I hate the fullshred.

    Badlander Retube

I have run both the El34L and the EL34II, in several amps (but unfortunately not the Badlander) for me the EL34II is the clear winner. the "L" adds a lot of bass but in my JVM and MY Splawn it was just boom. the II's broaden the entire tonal spectrum of sound, they just sound like more of...
