Strange reverb issue with TA30 1x12 combo

One thing you may want to try is running a patch cable for your effects loop. In the TA-30, the effects loop must be engaged in order to use the reverb. I wonder if the issue may be in that part of the amp.

Strange reverb issue with TA30 1x12 combo

I tried the reverb on mine. On the red channel, no matter the mode or wattage on mine, I can crank the reverb ... and I get none of the feedback you describe. You might want to give Mesa a call and describe it to them. I have called them in the past and they have been extremely helpful in...

    TA-30 Inevitable Problems?

Mine is in the TA30-0028xx serial number series. Again, sorry about the delay in getting back to you.

    TA-30 Inevitable Problems?

We didn't have practice last night. I will have to get it for you on Sunday. Sorry.

    TA-30 Inevitable Problems?

I think the problems were more associated with the earlier production models. I bought mine used and have had no issues with the loop. If you want, I can get the serial number range for mine. But, it will have to be after the weekend - mine is at church right now. The only "issue" I have had is...

    S.O.B. Limit control

I bought an S.O.B. back when they first came out. So, my memory may not be all that well. The limit control was kind of weird. I left it on 0 most of the time. If I recall, it's purpose was to starve the PI (Phase-Inverter). At 0, it doesn't do anything. As you turn it up, it starves the PI...

    The Mark IV thread....!!

    Good to know. Thanks.

    Mark IV - Worth getting?

It definitely is. Once you understand the amp, you can get a whole host of sounds out of it. Lately I have been using my LP's bridge pickup into my Mark IV's channel 1, with the preamp gain maxed. Some very nice, chewy, mildly over-driven tones. Some very good bite to it. Agree, it is a great...

    New screen format?

Perhaps I missed the memo ... but the screen format seems to be different. Plus, the option to jump to the "next topic" is no longer available. Did I in fact miss something? Or, is there a setting I have somehow messed up? Anyone else experiencing this?

    Life After a Mark IVb

I do love a happy ending!

    Hi1 on TA15 just ROCKS!

The forum traffic (or lack thereof) is a mystery to me too. There are a lot of Mesa users out there. Never used the TA-15. I have the TA-30, and love it.

    Mark IV is amazing!

Think of R2 as an extension to R1. Some nice tones in there. I use it with my SG quite a bit. Love my Mark IV.

    TA-30 1x12 experience

All, I posted this on another forum - and thought some here may be interested: This afternoon, I decided to mess around some with the TA-30's HI-1 and HI-2 (using my SG - humbuckers). My process was this: (1) I varied the gain from just open, to 9:00, to noon, to 3:00, then wide open. I then...

Thanks. Good to know mine is working like others.

    TA-30 1x12 experience

I have switched to using my TA-30 1x12 combo in church. Gotta say, it works like a champ. Channel 1 in Top Boost mode (40w) is where I spend a good deal of time. The amp is a blast to play. Chording gets some excellent tones. Single note runs give excellent response. For additional dirt, I put...

    New Mesa Amp: Fillmore 50!!!

Sounds pretty cool. Reminds me of the "channel cloning" on the Tremoverb.

Power tubes in Mark IV (5881 position and EL34 tone)

Can you elaborate a bit on what you mean by "spikey"? I use EL34 in the outer slots of my Mark IV and love what it brings. I run in class "A" most of the time. But, sometimes I switch to simul-class to get the 6L6s in to the mix.

"Marshall - izing" a mesa boogie mark III

I like. I have a Mark IV, and I can get decent Marshall sounds out of channel 2 - with my SG. For some reason, not so much the LP.
