Best Chorus for the Mark IV

So, are you saying that the Boss CE-5 is built around delay circuits? I read your review of the H2O & the Voodoo Lab chorus pedal, very impressive. 8)

Did Hank Schermann ever use the TC Electronic chorus or the Boss one? Or Andy LaRocque?

    Chorus pedal recommendations?

Strange. I just checked it now and I'm getting the same problem. But it's been listened to 19 times, so some people must have managed to hear it. I wish they'd give their input.

Evolution of the tonal/midrange voicing in Mesa/Boogie amps-

(I posted this at HarmonyCentral, but would like input from here as well, please.) I'd like to discuss the tonal/midrange voicing of Mesa/Boogie's amplifiers, in particular the Mark series amps and the Rectifier series amps. How do you reckon the midrange voicing has evolved? It's obviously...

    Hetfield's 1993 C+ settings and rig pix

Why were they all over the shop? Why was everything so erratic and not set in stone? It's crazy  :? .

James Hetfield's Recto Tone- how does he get it?

Here is the Youtube video of James Hetfield performing the Waylon Jennings song Don't You think this Outlaw bit has done got out of hand?, at CMT Outlaws. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=rbaXAV56e7c This is the BEST I have EVER heard out of a Recto! I have never heard anyone use a Recto amp...

    Hetfield's 1993 C+ settings and rig pix

I thought the two other MarkIIC+ amp heads were used as backups? Was the MP-1 used for distortion, or cleans? Or for both, since there actually were two MP-1's in the rig?

Any body dig the ENGL amplification?

I recently tested the Engl Screamer 50watt head, into a Mesa 4x12 cab. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=t9LySpTPBcI In the video, it sounds better than it did in person. The amp was extremely bright and that was hard to tame. I've now changed my mind to getting the Engl Fireball. 8)

    The Mark IV thread....!!

Thanks for the advice. 8) So, are you saying that, to make it MORE smooth, the reverse of what I want, would be to have less tops (treble), add more gain, triode setting, and more mids?

    KRANK

It was, it was his Randall Warhead. Just a little looser-sounding, I don't think he used the noise gate. He didn't use the ranK Kranks until performing live with Damageplan.

    KRANK

WHAT??  But..... Dimebag's tone even sounded solid-state, that cold, "not very full" type of sound, as well as the fizzy/squishyness. Although I do happen to really like his tone on Mouth for War. How could it have been an old modded Marshall combo? His tone never seemed...
