    Adding a fan

Thinking about getting a head cab for chassis currently in a combo, and in that cramped space I assume a fan makes a difference. At least my old MkII head had one. But on a MkIIB with an export transformer there's no power jack like on the regular ones, at least based on pictures. When you add...

    A week apart?

    Mark IIA?

    Yep, S/N 5206.

    Mark IIA?

Thanks! Is there any difference between the back panel send and the one under the chassis? Also is the "last" master before the power amp the "lead master" or "master 1"? I guess putting a vol pedal or any pot between the underside send and back panel return would be a true amp-wide MV? Or...

    Mark IIA?

I just got an amp dated 5/19/80 on the underside of the chassis, not sure if it's a IIA or IIB. 100/60, reverb and EQ. S/N 5206 The underside of the chassis has a metal plug where the FET switch by V1 is that I saw in a thread here about an amp from january of 1980...

    nova system

I really like mine in the loop too. I had to mess with the levels a little but once I got it figured out (with the help of some old posts here I believe), with the loop level knob at 12:00 it is I can't tell any difference between it being plugged in with no effects running versus having...

    Cable Snake?

Are you going to have three separate cables wrapped in one, including the MKV footswitch cable? Does it also include a some sort of power cable for the effects on the pedal board?

    Cable Snake?

If you haven't heard of these guys you might want to check it out. http://www.pedalsnake.com/ I like mine a lot but I haven't looked into connecting the MkV footswitch with it. If it was a 5 pin DIN it would be no problem but I think for the higher pin count DIN connectors you probably need...

Are reverb and channel volume connected?

Is there any way to test this - switching the reverb on and off - without the big foot switch? I left it in the trailer with the pedal board stuff. Naturally. :(

Are reverb and channel volume connected?

Looking at the manual it seems like that would be V4? Does the front panel come off for easy access to the 12ax7s? If not, any tips on how to get at it? There's a cage around the power tubes which I guess must snap out somehow. Is it easier just to pull the chassis from the cab? Mine's a head.

Are reverb and channel volume connected?

I was playing a gig Saturday night and half way through the night it seemed like my 2nd channel was ridiculously quiet. Later on I noticed that with the reverb off the 1st channel too was really quiet. If I kicked on the footswitch reverb on either of the channels the volume was back as...
