    Opinions on Recto-o-Verb series 1

Well, thanks gents, I bought as a package, my buddy got the cab, I took the head ( only cost me $300 ), so I figured I'd give it a try. I have a jam coming up, and I just got a vertical 2x12, I think I'm going to have to wind this thing up. I can almost feel my attenuator calling 😁

    Opinions on Recto-o-Verb series 1

How do you guys feel about the rov 50 series one? I'm only assuming it's a series one bc the serial number is 40. Looks like a nice amp head, and I got it cheap. I don't play metal, or thrash, etc. I'm a simple blues classic rock player. Could it be a keeper? Or just a test amp for the...

Mesa Thiele cab with mystery speaker

The 6 isn't 6 ohms, it's probably a random numbering sequence by Oxford. Any garden variety 8 ohm speaker will meter out at 6.3 ohms or so, 8 is considered the " nominal " homage, while the actual 6.3 ohms is considered the DC voice coil resistance. Good place to sell that spkr might be the...

Mesa Thiele cab with mystery speaker

The speaker is made by a company named Oxford, they were made a lot for Fender amps in the 60s and 70s. That speaker to a Fender guy, is probably decently valuable, probably $100 or so. Dating it is a bit weird, but looks to be the 32nd week of 68, or 78. Good find.

Mark V five 35 foot switch schematic for relay switch cable

Just as a note, be aware gents, sometimes the aftermarket DIN cables do not have the shield connected to anything, they're merely structual. Meter out from shield to shield and see if you have continuity...

    Back to the Dyne

Well, If I may throw my .02 in here. I have 4 Electra-Dynes ( don't ask , although the story is kinda funny ) I have a fawn 23" 1X12" combo and I put a Neo Creamback in it. The 23" cab is much lighter than the 27", and the Neo speaker saves another 7.3 pounds. Something for us old farts to...

    Can Boogies be addictive?

I think there is something in the Boogie amp, that makes you addicted to them.. I had a simple Mark III that I bought from a friend so he wouldn't sell it to the big box music store. Now I have 4 Electra-Dynes, and 4 TransAtlantic's ( 3 ) TA-30's and a TA-15..oh, and the Mark III... Do I need...
