Mark III to Mark II mod

Can't be done. Most notably because the IIC(+) and Mk-III have different pre-amp circuit boards. Never mind the PT etc....

    Mesa Boogie MkIIC Combo

No it would be an Eminence speaker, not a Celestion. Post a pic of the back as well as the front of the speaker. Fwiw there should be numbers on the frame of the speaker or the magnet. If the numbers start with a 67 it's a Eminence

What options do I have converting a Mark IVa combo to a head

Sent you an email a week or so back. Did you get it?

Look at 'em there, pretty maids all in a row.

+1 +2 +3 +4 etc etc!! Especially the 416's (6CA7's/ EL34's) in a Simul. The first time I put a pair in and played through it in Class-A mode I was blown away. It had the rich chime of EL-34's with the deeper/ fuller sound of 6L6's. NO other 6CA7/ EL34 has this capacity. They are worth every dime!

PSA two 2x12 metal grill cabs and very early mark iv

Both look to have a C90 up top and an EV on the bottom. They appear to be in pretty good condition too.

Anybody tried a 10" speaker in a Mark series combo?

I have a rare Mesa 4x10 (vertical metal grille just like older 4x12's) that I've used with a C+ It sounds great! Not sure how one 10" in a combo would sound as I've never tried it. A Mark series combo speaker baffle is cutout for a 12" so you'd have to jury rig something or insert another baffle...

    MKIIc+ Tubes

Yes the Mesa StR-416's are relabeled Sylvania EL-34's. Same tune different label. They haven't been made for years. The only way to get them is to find and buy some used ones or find/ buy New Old Stock (NOS) tubes. These are long lasting tubes (10,000 hour tube) so buying used shouldn't be of...

    WTB : MS-12 speakers

Fwiw the last MS-12 on ebay sold for $216 (see link below) Good luck in your search https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_sop=12&_nkw=mesa%2C%20black%20shadow&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&rt=nc&_trksid=p2045573.m1684

    MKIIc+ Tubes

the Mesa STR-416 was made by Sylvania (as were the 415's). That said if you can find some old Sylvania EL-34's in the correct bias range get them as they are the same tube. The beauty of the 416's is they give you the chime of an EL34 but seem to have the fullness and bottom end of the...

    MKIIC+ Export

I had a 60/100 that had the X101 PT, no voltage selector switch. Used it for years and suspect it was hard wired to the 120V taps as I'm in the good 'ole usa. I've actually seen a few over the years with the X101 PT that had no voltage selector switch.

    MK III Controls

LOL No not really. If you understand the cascading gain of the Mark series it's not all that hard to dial in what you're looking to get

    MKIIC+ Export

Tony am I missing something in your reply? Pretty sure the PT has nothing to do with it being an export or not, it's the OT. You should know as you own a couple. ;-) Not sure what OT was used on the 60 watt C+ export but there again you own one so you should know.
