    Look what I found! - Any one tried these tubes in The Mark V 90W?

    Curious is it Ch 3 harshness? or overall? I'm guessing you saw this thread, 45 pages & counting 😧 lots of good observations and posts in it V Saturation Mod Just outlining one experience here... when I first got the V:90 Ch 3 seemed to have that harshness folks had posted about. Now to be...

    Wanting a Triple Crown Combo

    There is a good sub forum here, the TC50. Best to have a look through that. This link below is a fairly good thread on the TC in general. TC Impressions

    Oh couldn't tell it was a long head from the pic, :unsure: but not surprising I didn't think about that LOL

    Best curent available EL34 for Mesa Mark V

    It was worth trying out just to satisfy the curiosity, but yea for me it wasn't enough of a major change to stay with them. Perhaps I heard more of the variac mode being impactful then the el34s themselves. Dunno... but TBH didn't spend a huge amount of time tweaking or playing with cabs. I know...

    V:90... Setting channel master levels vs output

    There definitely is a difference in feel and how compressed the overall signal gets. On the Stiletto I find the chan masters have to be up and of course the master output up too. If they are down too low the fizziness comes in. I was running the V in sort of the same way with the chan masters up...

    V:90... Setting channel master levels vs output

    FWIW... been using this approach live now for the past month and it seems to be working well. With the master output up the chan masters are, as expected much more sensitive to control vol. A little gooses that output but the higher gain setting to a lower chan master seems to retain the...

    Famous Mesa Boogie Player Pictures

    Looks like a Lonestar in the middle. If so can't tell if that is a LSS or LSC. It's possible the one on left may be RA100? Cool color scheme Rig Rundown 2017

    definitely concur... I bounce back and forth between IIC+/MkIV for lead work. Do find that 10W pushed on Ch 3 floats my boat. I had a GT-100 then upgraded to the 1000 Core, big, big difference. The effects are crisper with way more signal chain options. With the number of input/output level...

    Yes I would suggest this highly. :) Also there are a number of previous forum posts here that maybe will provide input that can be helpful. FWIW I found this video helpful as Euge goes thru his V:90 settings and signal chain in detail. Tone Monster

    First congrats on a good V:90 deal :) Just one player's opinion here. Do own a V:90 and have played a V:35 from time to time. You certainly will have many more options and features with the V:90, especially in the power section. Not only the choice of 6L6s or el34s, but the choices of power...

    Mark Five head and 4X12 cab switchable 16 ohm or 4 ohm

    FWIW food for thought... this link below is a good technical guide on really what happens with tube amp mismatching. Any mismatch means that the power generated gets lost as heat somewhere. Heat of course can be damaging to components when their rated limits are exceeded. WRT Mesa output...

    Mark III+ vs III++

    Your vid comparison on the GEQ in IIC+ loop vs the native GEQ was very enlightening. For those who feel only a "G" will suffice may be missing out on some great deals. My HR with a Mesa GEQ in the loop is pretty amazing.
