I fortunately was using an FCB1010 as a midi controller in the studio with the GT-100 and then decided to start using it live and that made the Core a bit more usable. Plus Boss just released an update with an SD-1 now which was pretty cool.

Had to chime in... I updated to the Core from the GT-100 a while ago, that was a game changer. The improved effects and the added features were too numerous to count.

The Mark V:35 is a different vibe then the Badlander. the tubes make some difference but really the way the preamps are voiced and what speakers they were running is more of a factor IMHO. The Badlander is much more of a hot rodded Marshall tone then the V which has that Mesa midrange thing...
