Thanks for the replies guys. It has its original Mesa tubes and sounded great at rehearsal last week. I only use the red channel on modern but got a bit anxious when I tried the Vintage and Raw. I think I can relax now.

I had a brand new 6262 and it sounded great at home and at its first rehearsal. At the gig it lasted about 30minutes and then burned out completely. I took it back and they didn't even offer to fix it, they just gave me an automatic refund and have stopped selling Bugera products.

Well I didn't know the seller; I hadn't met him until I bought the amp so I guess I'll have to accept what he told me about it not having too much use and the implication that the tubes should still be okay. A thorough work out in a band situation should put things in a better light.
