is it someone on the board that actually got a stilletto cab and a roadster??? they say it is a good match.lots of focused bass and lots of mids.
that would be very interesting!!
a Roadster with a boost in front sound increible, even for leads
thick and tight brutal sounding. channel 4 with the right eq+maxon od 808.perfect for metal rythm and lead
hi.try to lower your bas down to 11-12 oclock. you got a lot o boom going on there.switch to maxon od 808. and on the maxon volume max. gain zero tone to taste
ok I play brutal metal also.just checking it out.Ive got a mesa recto cab and a 5150 cab,but i never use the 5150 cab but must try anyway.
thanks for reply
have anyone test to play a dual recto head th´rough a 5150 4*12 cab. im interested how it sounds.
I know that the 5150 cab is not so good as a recto cab but it should be tighter.or........???
sounds like a tube problem. emgs sounds thin especially if you got emg 81 s. one of my guitars have the 18 v mod and it still sound weak. but that a Roadster sounds thin.....hm it is something wrong with th amp-my roadster is a beast
my friend have a mesa boogie studio caliber + and there is lots of noise in the clean channel, switching to lead channel the noise/hum decreases, tried to switch the preamp tube in v1 position but the noise get worse.
what could it be???
the recto verb/single recto is actually tighter than the dual. but more bright sounding.
If you were up for a dual the roadster would be the choice that is tight as the single/rectoverb
wash your hands ALWAYS before you play. wipe it off afterwards and I think it is good to change strings often.I change once a month and I play maybe 5 - 10 hours a week
ok the roadster is great for leads.
