    Custom Grilles

If you want to change the cloth on your grill, you should be able to follow my tutorial to figure it out: http://acapella.harmony-central.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1182222 1 yard of the Mesa tan jute cloth was ~$35.

    Trem-O-Verb early serial?

Excellent! Well, that makes it a lot easier. What about the metal grill with the Mesa Badge? How is that connected to the rest of the panel?

    Mesa Dropped-B F-100 Clip

Since I rarely have all my gear in the same place, I decided to make a clip. This clip is from Corrosion of Conformity's newest disc "In the Arms of God." Clip: COC - It is that way Here's my recording method:

Tremoverb loop as a second master / solo?

Did he tell you which LDRs he replaced? I should think that that would be an indication of the failure. Anyway, sorry to hear about the trouble with your amp. I've got a Tremoverb en route to me, so I'll test this procedure out thoroughly and give it the yea or nay.

    Trem-O-Verb early serial?

LOL! I'm just lucky in this case. But, when you're done with the new T-verb, I should think it will give my Blondy a run for it's money. :)

    Trem-O-Verb early serial?

Well, macmax, you convinced me. I just finalized the deal for this '93 T-verb:

    Little help with a rectoverb

First, I don't know how you cut through with your mids at 8:00, so try them out at least on 12:00, and drop the bass to around 9-10:00. Treble and presence are good methinks. Then, adjust your gain, treble, presence, and master for the volume you want to play. The higher the master volume...

    Roadster Combo 2x12 - Reverb doesn't work

You may have loose or unconnected reverb lines. From the amp chassis there will be two RCA phono connections that lead to the Reverb pan. Make sure all the connections are good.

Help! Which Mesa to Buy for my style...

The Mesa F-50 will do everything you're asking and more. IMO, the Lone Star only has stellar reverb on the F-series, but the core clean tones of both amps are excellent. Check out the clips in the first post of the F-series lounge on HCAF...

    Problem with F 30?

Yup, on the red channel, the higher the gain, the less sensitive the controls are. Also, the treble is most sensitive, followed by mid, then bass. If you drop the gain to around 11:00, you should notice an increase in bass and overall sweep in the controls. The tone stack is before major...

Another " help me decide which Mesa" thread

The way it works is to wire the amp's FX send to say the "A" side of the AB, and the output of the Studio Pre to the "B" side. When you select "A," the signal is simply guitar -> buffer -> amp -> FX send -> A/B -> FX return just like you're using an FX processor in the loop. When you select...

Another " help me decide which Mesa" thread

How about a Stiletto Ace with a Mesa Studio Preamp run in it's FX return? You could then switch between the two with an A/B pedal if it was split out front by a buffer. Mark IIc+ clean and mean, and Stiletto clean and crunch. You can get the series I stilettos for ~$850 and the Mesa Studio...

Celebrating my first Mesa amp! F-30!

The FX send jack is a special switching style that connects to the FX return's center pin when nothing is in the loop. If you run something into the FX return without a plug in the FX send, you'll have a funky input impedance and sensitivity. All you need is the mechanical insertion of a 1/4"...

Celebrating my first Mesa amp! F-30!

You don't necessarily have to, it's just a question of setup. If you use an A/B box and a stereo splitter, you could easily integrate a modeler into your rig AND still use the F-series preamp. Or, you could go completely nuts, and bust out a full MIDI rig like this: In the GRX4 case, you...

Celebrating my first Mesa amp! F-30!

Sweet! BTW, did you use a dummy cable in the FX send jack? If not, make sure to do that because when I ran my PODxt Live through my F-100's FX return, it sounded like a blanket until I put a cable in the send jack.

Celebrating my first Mesa amp! F-30!

No, you don't need the FX mix mod. The volume change has to either be governed by the FX Mix pot or the TSLE. FX Mix should be at 90%.

Celebrating my first Mesa amp! F-30!

Sorry I was unclear. You can use a volume pedal in the loop after the TSLE if you want, but it already has the capability to control volume with one of the EXP pedals as you stated. Since the parallel loop goes to 90%, you're only getting a small amount of signal through (10%) dry which you...

Celebrating my first Mesa amp! F-30!

You can only use the FX Mix mod when there is nothing else in the loop, so it's not going to work with your TSLE in there. Perhaps there is a setting in the TSLE that will allow you to control overall volume rather than FX mix? To test out the FX Mix pot mod: On the FX return cable's end...

Celebrating my first Mesa amp! F-30!

Kewlpack, congrats on the F-30! Mmm... there's nothing quite like bringing a new one home. :) To answer your questions: 1) The F-50 is only better if you think it is. I personally prefer the deep low end and glassy highs of my F-100 compared to an F-30, but I love EL-84 amps as well. If Mesa...
