The cabclone would come at the end of the signal chain, post power amp. I don't see why you couldn't run from the xlr into a processor/poweramp...however, you will be running a cabinet emulated signal which will then feed into a real cabinet. That tends to not work so well.

FWIW, My Mark V (90 Watt) could get very loud on the 10 watt setting and could be heard easily in a band rehearsal.

Finally got around to performing some tube rolling this last weekend and this method worked great. I really had no issues getting around inside and swapping around preamp tubes!

I used a GSP1101 in 4cm with my Mark V and it worked beautifully and was dead silent. I'm now running an Axe-Fx IIXL in 4cm and it is working quite well, but not as silent as the Digitech....

The Ground Control can just be used as a standard MIDI controller. It also controls the GCX loop functionality. I used to have both and they are excellent products.... A friend of mine currently uses it as his controller for his Kemper.

I've noticed the channel bleed as well. Glad to know I'm not alone. What about the huge jump in channel 2 volume though... anyone experience that?
