What Type of Boogie Cabinet Do I have?

So here's one on Ebay very similar. They don't seem to know either but, other than the "boogie" badge in smoke grey, mine's like this. Right down to the single jack and grey piping...

    combo and cab??

I realize that speaker wire is better that an instrument cable but doesn't a std. instrument cable work in a fix? Can using one damage the amp or speaker in any way? Thanks.

What Type of Boogie Cabinet Do I have?

I wish I'd checked your reply before rehearsal last night (my cabinets living at the studio now) I can say that I noticed it had a nice tight grill cloth with a grey colored piping around the edge. It has leather(ette?) corners and a black covering that may be tolex but is less beefy that my...

What Type of Boogie Cabinet Do I have?

Thanks. Yeah, strange but - apparently - true. Just a single celestion 30, I believe. The writing is starting to come off the cabinet . Definitely no port and only one jack. Also smokey/gray boogie badge is the first I've seen like this. Anyway, thanks for your help. Will keep you posted. Brian

What Type of Boogie Cabinet Do I have?

I Picked up a "boogie" 1x12 cabinet recently. It's full closed back and does not look to be ported. It's the same size as my boogie 1x12 combo but way deeper. My guess is a rectifier cabinet. However, my brief internet research tells me that recto cabinets had a speaker in speaker out for...

    Should I trade a .22+ combo for a .50 Caliber head?

I have the plus. And he does not. I think mine's in a little better condition w/ working reverb. I'll keep it. There's a .50 caliber on CL now for $575 comes with Celestion 30 Combo-cabinet AND head cabinet. Sure do like the sound of my .22 with a closed recto cab extension. Thanks for...

Lead boost on a Studio 22

Hey I just want to say thanks for that clear explanation above. I was using a compression pedal as a boost and could not figure out why it worked so great for my clean and so crappy for my dirt. I opted to a LPB-1 last in my line and got better results but still dramatically different btw...

    Should I trade a .22+ combo for a .50 Caliber head?

He said the reverbs broken on the .50 Caliber. I currently run my .22 through an extension recto closed back cab. Should I mess with the trade for the few extra watts? What's a new reverb unit cost? It could just be his V4 tube also. Will have to see. Thanks in advance. -B

    Studio .22+ Headphone configuration

I've got a .22+ that I would like to use headphones with. I read this in the manual about the effects loop: [i]The Send jack can also be used as a "preamp output" without breaking the signal path that leads to the .22's power section. If you're using the Send jack for this purpose and you want...

Extension Cabinets (what I can and can't add) to my 22 Combo

Thanks. I'll feel better exploring my other options. Aesthetically, however, I'm certain the 1x12 boogie cab will be the most pleasing. Best, -B

Extension Cabinets (what I can and can't add) to my 22 Combo

To whomever can help: The time has come to add an extension cab to my Studio 22+. It has an 8 ohm speaker and I realize that I can use the two 4ohm outs to connect the internal combo speaker and an 8 ohm external. I'll probably buy a used M/B 1x12 extension (hopefully with a matching all...
