Someone did mispeak to me.

The Syracuse store didn't lose Mesa ... they never had it before. What I was just told is that they will still not be stocking Mesa, but they can order from a GC stocking store or from Mesa direct.

My original post was related to the Syracuse NY store. There is no Mesa dealer in Syracuse at this time. There are two in Rochester (one is a GC), which is about 90 miles away. I thought that since there is no dealer in Syracuse Mesa may have decided that particular store could now sell the...

I was at my local GC this weekend, which is not a stocking Mesa dealer, and was told that they can now sell Mesa amps. They can get them from one of the stocking GCs or order directly from Mesa. I was also told they could only sell the guitar amps and not the bass amps. Anyone else hear this...

Play them side by side. I think you will find the 5:25 has noticeably more hum than the LSS. It gig levels you wouldn't notice any difference, but at studio levels, it may be a consideration. The 5:25 is a great amp though, and even better this year with a 1X12.

You can run EL34s in a Lonestar Classic also.

I use mine on the tweed setting at 10 watts and have not had a problem.

Where do you find the serial number on a Lonestar Classic head?

How about an Express 5:50 head or an LSC head?

The first thing I would ask is where is your bass set at? Try 9 o'clock, that's what I use on my LSC.

I didn't know any of them had hit the dealers yet ... Have they?
