Are the knobs on the Roadster and/or Roadking recessed enuff

Are the knobs and switches on the Roadster and Road King recessed enough as to allow placing the unit in a road case, without having to worry about the case disturbing the settings on the amp?? This question applies to both the combo and the head. I am more interestd in the combos right now...

Computer solution to recording 16+ tracks simultaneously

I am beginning the process of laying out a budget for a studio. Nothing fancy, more or less for local bands and friends to jam and have a place to record. What I want to be able to do is record 16+ tracks simultaneously, via a PC or Mac, if its even do-able within a reasonable budget. I was...

Roadster vs Road King (2) cleans

I understand in the clean channel of the Road King v2, it is supposed to be able to replicate the Lonestar tone. Is this also true of the Roadster? I read a few posts and thats what it sounded like. However, I checked the Manual for the Roadster on the Mesa site and there was not mention of...

Swapping tubes in and out......a newbie question.

Is it possible to swap tubes in and out preamp tubes and power amp tubes, without causing damage to the tubes or amps (provided they are handled correctly etc....) For instance say, one week I want to run EL-34's....the next switch over to 6l6's. And/or swap various different preamp tubes in...

Roadking HighGain vs Dual/Triple Rec and Roadster.....

I do really like the aggressive sound, but in the same breath, warmth is really a big factor as well. Warmth and reliability. I've always felt that, expecting a quality high gain amplifier to retain some warmth, isn't asking too much.

Roadking HighGain vs Dual/Triple Rec and Roadster.....

I havent had the opportunity to play through a Roadking yet. From what I have heard is that the High Gain settings arent has buzzy as the rest of the Rectifier line. From what I understand, in order to remedy the buzz/hash factor on the Dual's and Triples, one would have to have the amp modded...

Single Rectifier Rect-O-verb combo - stupid question

Ya, you gotta point there. I dont really know why the idea of replacing the stock speaker even crossed my mind. I fully intended on hooking it up to a 2 x 12 or 4 x 12 anyway. I might just end up going with the Single Rec head rather than the combo. As far as sound quality goes, how do you...

Single Rectifier Rect-O-verb combo - stupid question

Out of curiosity, anybody have a recommendation for replacing the stock speaker. I think its a 12" Black Widow if I remember correctly.

Single Rectifier Rect-O-verb combo - stupid question

Thanks for the reply. I was able to find the manual via the boogie site. I just wanted to make sure before I placed a bid. Ya some companies don't offer the "speaker-out" on the back of their combo's.

Single Rectifier Rect-O-verb combo - stupid question

Does the Single Rectifier Rect-O-verb combo (Series 1), have speaker outs on the back. I'm thinking about picking one up used. I would like to use the on-board 12" speaker for bedroom jamming, but also have the ability to disengage the on-board speaker and hook up a 4 x 12" for gigs and...

Does Mesa recommend a particular power attenuator

Someone said they recommended the THD Hotplate, but I havent really heard much else one way or the other. I'm in the market for a new head, either a standard dual rec, or the Roadster. I like the 50w/half power option included on the roadster (mainly to appease the sound man at gigs)...

Does Mesa recommend a particular power attenuator

Does Mesa recommend a particular power attenuator for use with there amps?? Does anyone have any advise to the contrary?
