Single Rectifier solo not working with aftermarket footswitc

I bought an after market footswitch when my used rectoverb didn't come with one. The solo wouldn't work on it either. I ended up buying a Mesa footswitch, which has never failed me. Go with Mesa.

Changing from express 5:50 to mini rec?

I bought the 5:50 Express before I bought a Rectoverb 50. Although the 5:50 Express is a great amp, the distortion channels lack the depth and tightness of the rectifiers. I didn't want to buy pedals for a sound that I felt should be produced by the amp itself. I still have my Express. The mini...

Will a Mini Rec or ROV 25 work in place of a Dual Rec?

You can also go with the Rectoverb 50 series 2 that has plenty of sound pressure for less than the Rectoverb 25. You can still buy them at around $600 to $750.

    noob Buying first Mesa !

Hi: I have the Rectoverb series-2. Here are settings I use to achieve sustain. These settings may not be for everyone, but they really drive the tubes. Oh yes, as a disclaimer, not for apartment use. You may get evicted. Vintage mode Gain-11:00 Tone-12:00 Mid-10:00 Bass-12:00 Presence-11:00...

I think I've bought the wrong amp help please!

Have you thought of the Rectoverb 50, especially series 2? These amps are sleepers in the mesa world. They are not so fuzzy, with a tight rectified sound, very versatile amps, and loud as hell when cranked.

    Footswitch for a rectoverb

Yes. I recently bought a Voodoman footswitch and have the same trouble with the footswitch. Dam solo is not reliable either. I wonder if a single 1/4 switch plugged into the solo jack will work better?

    Footswitch for a rectoverb

Series 1 has Vintage and modern on channel 2, 6 pairs of knobs, and 1/4 footswitch jack. Series 2 has 7 pairs of knobs, raw, vintage, and modern on channel 2 and a 5 pin footswitch jack. I found out that the switch I was inquiring about was for a series 2. Thanks.

    Footswitch for a rectoverb

I have a rectoverb series 2 and have found a footswitch for a rectoverb. The seller isn't sure if it is for a series 1 or series 2 but it has a 5 pin connector. Is this for a series 2? Thanks.

FS: Rectoverb 3 button pedal and cable.

Is this for a series one or for a series 2? Thanks.

    Buffeting noise from Rectoverb.

Yep. The tubes definitely need to be replaced. From the tube placement diagram, V5 and one of the power tubes are bad. The power tube was really touchy. I'll order a complete set today. I'll probably just order Mesa tubes. Even with tube microphonics the amp sounds great. Thanks for your help...

    Buffeting noise from Rectoverb.

My Rectoverb combo series II makes a noise like a crosswind wind against a blanket or buffeting sound coming from the speakers. It is noted if I lightly tap on the top or side of the cabinet or after I play my guitar through it. I recently bought this used. I hope it isn't too much to fix. Does...

    Clicking sound on 5:50

I'm hearing a constant clicking sound coming from my 5:50 at a regular intervals of about a second. I hear it whether in 5 or 50 watt modes. It is still under warranty. Does anyone know what is going on? Could it be a cap? Thanks.

    Pedal for Metal

Thanks for the replies. I decided on a MI Crunch Box. I listened to several diferent pedals and liked the way the crunch box sounded. It had a tight JCM distortion, which was what I was looking for. Plus, I could only buy pedals that Guitar Center had since they were giving me a $50.00 gift...

    Pedal for Metal

Thanks Guys for your response. I listened to most of the pedals on You Tube. I queried some of them on the Guitar Center site to see if they carried any you listed. I think I'm going to go with the MI Crunch Box. It sounded great on the You Tube videos with some tight overdrive, which was what I...

    Pedal for Metal

Hi: I asked this on the Express Thread. Currently, I have the Express 5:50 2X12. I enjoy playing all styles of music but have noted through experience and posts on this site that the Express line doesn't have that tight high gain distortion which is in the Rectifier and Mark models. I plan on...

I enjoy playing all styles of music but have noted through experience and posts on this site that the Express line doesn't have that tight high gain distortion which is in the Rectifier and Mark models. Why aren't the Express people posting anything?

That is strange. I have no hiss at all from any of the channels on my Express 5:50. Have you had it checked out. I don't think you should have a hiss.

Why aren't the Express people posting anything?

Hi: I've had my 5:50 2X12 Express for 3 weeks now. I feel the same way. These amps are f###in awsome. I was up playing mine at 4 am this morning. When I first got mine the overdrive sounded a little strange because the speakers hadn't been broken in yet, but it will scream now and the clean and...
