    Mesa Stiletto Series Discontinued

Just ebayed a second Stiletto Deuce 1 on the super cheap. That makes (2) Deuces and (1) Ace head in the arsenal. I love these amps and will continue to keep an eye out for ones for sale. That and Electrodynes as they start to show up used. I dial channel 1 in like a crunchy Plexi, and channel 2...

What's the REAL tone difference with Stage 1 and Stage 2??

I have a Stage 1 Duece, and an Ace 50 watt head, which is Stage 2. They are very similar. The stage 2 seams to have a tad more gain in crunch and tight gain modes, which are the only modes I use. Channel 2 on my duece is out?

Could be rectifier tube, if you have it set on tube. Happened to me a couple weeks ago. If you switch that channel to diode and it works normally, there ya go.

    Stiletto Ace & Gain Pedals

I have had good results using a Bixonic Expandora set to Overdrive, with level high and gain low. Also get nice results with a Boss EQ pedal with a slight hump in the middle and very little gain boost. Happy Hunting...

Stiletto Ace To Bright For Some?

I own both an Ace head and Deuce stage 1 head and bright they are. The answers are low treble and presence settings AND speakers. After some research and experimenting, I am very happy mixing broken in Vintage 30's and G-12H's. One of each in a 2x12, or 1 of each in 2- 1x12's. Beam Blockers...
