    MXR Classic Overdrive

I'll have to go to GC and try it out! I've been also considering the MXR GT-OD (I think that's the name, it's the green one. I'm getting some good OD out of the ZW OD, but just want to have some other option. You know how it is, looking for the perfect tone!! :D Thanks for the info!

Looking for a pedalboard under $300

Hello, I really like my Warwick pedal board! It's about 28" X 14" of usuable space. What I like about is that it has 5 9v and 1 12v power plugs built in already. One main for the whole thing. It also has a 4 sets of 1/4" loops. It's a flight case type, but not too heavy. I'm not sure how much...

    MXR Classic Overdrive

How would you compare it to the MXR Zakk Wylde OD? I've been looking to have a secondary OD pedal, just have a different tone, right now I have the ZW OD pedal. I was actually thinking of getting the EWS Lil' Brute Drive, but it's about $130 on ebay. The MXR Classic sounds good?

    The Rectifier FAQ Thread

I agree with triple. I'm new to to the Mesa Boogie world and I have tons of questions and everyone here has been very helpful. Fluff's post just solved two issues for me. I was wondering about those "pops" when I first switched channels, good not to have to worry about that anymore. I also...

…….yeah, I’ve experienced that myself. I have two Ibanez guitars (different models) with the same exact pickup in the bridge position (Dimarzio X2N) and I was floored by how different they sound. Especially in clean setting. Hey Fluff……awesome sound clip!!

    Question about tube's life

I’m taking Thunda’s advice and playing dammit! But I’m also going to carry spares! I do have a question though, are all the tubes suppose to glow at the same intensity? I noticed that I have one that was glowing slightly less than the others. Is this common? Thanks in advance!

I’m going to look into those knucklehead pickups, but I’ll have to pick just one of my guitars to upgrade. I just bought three Dimarzios to finish the upgrades on my all my guitars. So I’m broke!! I’m thinking my Ibanez RG570. I’ll try looking for sound samples and see which model fit my taste...

Hey guys! Yes, I love this amp! Right now I’m just playing straight into it, no pedals or anything and it sounds great. I can just imagine how it will sound once I hook up my pedal board (which is also a work in progress). Yellow Jacket, would you say those pickups are better than Dimarzio or...

Well guys…….I’ve decided to sell my single rec solo head. I took fluff191’s advice and went out looking for a Mesa cab, and found one!! I was lucky enough to pick up a three channel dual rectifier from the same guy! Listening to the head and speaker cab together just did it for me. I really...

    NEW MEMBER NEEDS ADVICE

Hey everyone, I forgot to mention, I did buy this head used. I checked the tubes and it has Mesa tubes, at least the big ones are. I think they say SRT (or STR) 440 on them. Would you guys suggest I change them out to new ones just to start off fresh?

Hello everyone, After reading all the posts and going through the links that were posted, I took some notes and headed straight for my amp. After making some adjustments, I heard a big improvement, especially after turning the gain level down. Since no one was home at the time, I cranked it a...

Hello Everyone! I'm a new Mesa Boogie convert and must say I was a little let down with my Single Rec 50 solo Head. Considering everything I had read on the Recs, I was expecting to plug in and just get this mind blowing tone. Somehow that didn’t happen! I'm sure that this due my inexperience...
