    simple guitar recording... need advice

Hey, I've had similar experience with the 'extra' bass on the low strings. Try just lowering the pickup you're using on the Low E side. It doesn't take much. As for the EQ a lot of studio guys ( the good ones as I've heard it ) use a High Pass and/or Low Pass filter on the guitars. The...

Anybody else have trouble sending PM's???

I've sent a few people PM's and gotten no replies but I assume it's cause they don't care to reply. Maybe there's a technical reason for it?

Sample rate: 44.1 KHz or higher?

I asked about this topic on the Andy Sneap forums as well. Many of the guys on there are actual studio owners/engineers and most of them record at 44.1 citing the Nyquist article and also the fact that everything they do winds up on CD and CD is 44.1 so they see no need to go any higher. Seems...

Please help me with recording (triaxis)

Correct Crane. Armisaels, here is some info on the following clip I did myself. The guitar is the Main outputs of my Triaxis ( Master set to 1 ) into a Yamaha EMP-100 ( used solely to go from Instrument to Line level ) then into a SoundBlaster Live card and run through KeFIR with cab impulses...

Using a 2:90 In mono mode

Must be pretty confusing indeed cause you lost me on that last part. If you cab has 2 x 8 Ohm or 2 x 4 Ohm inputs ( one left, one right ) then you can use each half of the power amp for each half of the cab. Example: 2:Ninety Output Channel A Speaker out @ 4 Ohm Into Cab Left @ 4 Ohm B...

    Drum Loop Program

+1 It's everything you said you wanted. All you gotta do is figure out Cubase or wise up to Reaper or Ableton Live.

Any Ableton users on this board?

I abandoned Cubase, Sonar and a few others after I found Live. Been using it for a year or two now. Starting to see the need for aux's and stuff though and not quite sure how to get around that but otherwise I couldn't be happier. It's so easy and solid and intelligent. Live = Yay

Anybody out there using POWERkits drum software?

Using a 2:90 In mono mode

RTFM man. Turn the Presence all the way up and the volume all the way down on the channel you're NOT using. Also, do NOT plug anything into the unused channels input. I've run my 2:90 mono like that for years with no probs. I switch sides now and then to even out the tube wear though.
