    So I've still got the combo shell my Mark IV came in, despite switching over to a rackmount kit. The main reason for moving away from the combo was I hated the EVM speaker in it. I'm a big fan of the Celestion V30, however with it being 60 watts I don't think that's a good pairing for the 85...

    I'm not certain about the $ on a new headshell..I'm not even certain if they sell them. But yes a rack case will cost you atleast $100 new. Watch craigslist/forums for a better deal.

    headshells are harder to find and more expensive. you can buy a brand new rackmount from mesa for $100 or so if you don't need a fan. not certain about reverb as I don't use mine and it's disconnected and sitting in a closet. just an idea, if you aren't digging the speaker in your combo...

    on both my old III and now on my IV I can't imagine not using the EQ. I mean it doesn't sound BAD without the eq, but it just sounds so much better! I'm sure an eq pedal in the loop will do the trick.

    the tube labeled 12at7 that I believe is the reverb driver.... I don't have the reverb hooked up. don't plan on hooking it up again it my current rig. can I put a JJ 12au7 in there? will it effect the sound of any of my channels?
