i called mesa.. the serial numbers on cabs do not any indication of the year that it was made. you have to call them and maybe with the serial number, their computers will come with a ship out date. Now we all know.

yes one cfx4 wouldnt have enough relays.. but these cfx4s were designed to be added to each other for more relay switching.. i think they can be ran in triples.. 2 brand new cfx4s are still less expensive than the amp gizmo.. if you can find one on ebay at a good price..

i used a GCX switcher with my rectos for a while.. if you are not using the "SOLO" function... you will only need 3 loops to switch everything on a 3 channel recto.. (since you dont want the SOLO function) you will need a loop for channel 1, a loop for channel 3 & a loop for the FX loop...
