Just curious what I have to do to garner interest in this piece. Are Road Kings still desired in the professional/gigging world? I know the Foo Fighters travel with 6 of them.
I have a RK-1 Amp that resides in my bedroom. Never gigged. Still has hang tags. Original shipping box, King Kontroller, slip cover, manuals, catalog, warranty papers, etc. all included.
I prefer a tube amp that doesn't color the sound of the guitar -- sure, a little gain is nice, but I want to hear the woods in the guitar, otherwise spending $4,000 on a guitar isn't worth it if you're gonna distort the crap out of the tone.
Amps that get heavy use like yours can expect tube wear at about 6 months. Try replacing tubes one at a time, and see if the problem goes away with the bad tube.
Rack cry? Not hardly worth what they go for anymore - and a pedal is easier to manage during performances.

TriAxis' firmware gets updated each time Mesa releases a new amp. I doubted this. To be more clear, let me give an example.
1990: TriAxis is released with settings.
2000: Mesa releases the Road King.
Present: All new...
I'm curious if using different speakers in the cab -- not necessarily with a drum machine -- would improve the sound of the guitar? If guitar speakers have limited bandwidth, would using a full-range speaker be better suited for achieving say...harmonic tone in addition to the root tones?
Curious.
