Will EL-34's get rid of the congested and honky sound of channel three or would that problem be solved with the preamp tubes? Also will EL-34's make the amp sound smoother in any way(particularly the treble notes) because that is the last thing I'd want.

What brand of EL-34's did you use? I also wanna put EL-34's and new preamp tubes (since I heard that that is what is giving me that slightly congested midrangy sound) in my mark v, but don't know what brands to use.

Today I just got a 60 Watt Mark III Blue Stripe and it sounds phenomenal. This is possibly the most underrated amp ever. The stripe on the back looks bluish, but I wanted to make sure it actually is a blue stripe. The serial number on the back is 24954. Is it actually a blue stripe?

Would the sound differences between a dual and triple rectifier be similar to the sound differences when I switch from 90 watts to 45 watts on my Mark V? Do the dual and triple really sound that different from each other? Also which of the two has more bottom end, the triple or the dual?

So to run the mark v preamp into another poweramp I need to put one end of the cable to the send in the mark v fx loop and the other to the return of the amp I want to use for the poweramp? Also, What do you mean by having a load on the speaker output?
