hey guys..ive been having issues with my 1990 mark 4a.im getting a nasty 60 cycle hum.ive tried various things and had a buddy of mine look at it who knows his stuff.he said it could be filter caps.he checked all the grounds etc..and didnt see anything wrong.he said physically the caps looked...

i need advice on isolating a hum issue with my mark 4 version a.it seems to be a loud 60 cycle hum,of course its much more noticable on the lead channel.ive swapped guitars,cables,disconnected my pedals..etc.the hum does disappear when i unplug the guitar cable from the amp...not sure if that...

anyone use an eq pedal in addition to the on board eq with a mark 4?

if im running class a in my mark 4.do the middle 2 6l6s have any effect what so ever?

is it worth the extra cash to pay for the high gain preamp tubes?

could someone give me advice on swapping out preamp tubes in my mark 4?

thanks for the replys..i went ahead and got a fulltone 70s pedal that im going to try out.do some people run ods into their fuzzes to smooth them out.

could someone reccomend me a good fuzz pedal that sounds good with the mark 4?

could someone suggest a wah to use with my mark 4?i like a vintage hendrix type sound..but something that can be used with high gain.thanks for any input.

i love my mark 4.last night at a gig i just couldnt get it to sound right.i usaully get a nice tone at gigs but this time it just sounded fizzy.not tight and defined.im sure this could be a few different things.when i am on the spot,and have tone problems i usaully just get frustrated and dont...

yeah.i guess it is the switch.when i assign the footswitch to a certain channel,it always comes on properly.i will check the footswitch.thanks.

i have a mark 4 version a.when i step on the loop switch,it is real spotty if the loop will come on or not.i tried pressing in on the led light,but that does not seem to be the prob.the loop just comes on sometimes and sometimes doesnt.it seems like the issue is just with that footswitch...
