As u guys know , the Mark IV is a beast! Many situations I need to tame it down to lower wattage. I'm also thinking this would make it a little easier to get in the sweet spot. Can I put el84s or 6v6s in the outside sockets? If so, with what results? Thanks for any info.

yeah i swapped the power tubes. can i just randomly put any ax7 in any of the other 4 sockets?

i have a mesa mark 4...i had it seriviced not long ago,and the tech replaced the reverb tube with a 12at7. the other preamp tubes are prob 5 years old. i havent noticed any degrading of tone..but im anxious to see if replacing them would improve anything. should i change the remaning 4 tubes...

Tight and chuggy. For instance, should I always have it on full power for maximum tightness?thanks for any info.

im thinking about getting another combo to run my mark iv with.what is the best setup for this.stereo would be cool..maybe run an a/b box to switch back and forth.for guys that use two combos..let me know your tricks.

yep..i thought about that.mounting the fan wouldnt be hard but i would need to work sommething out for the verb.

anybody ever rackmount there mark 4?i have 1x12 that im considering rackmounting,i guess mainly to cut down the weight.would a head be better than a rack?advantages/disadvantages?

so ive tried to troubleshoot a bad hum ive had on my mesa mark 4a.ive used lots of info ive gathered from this forum..but have came to the conclusion that the repair is over my head.ive thought about calling mesa directly about shipping it back for repair.i either need to ship it back or find an...

so you can contact mesa direct to build the shell?is it easy to just install the fan and reverb from the original combo?i would love to see some of the forum members youve mentioned samples of their stuff.
