The reason I ask is because I have an opportunity to pick one up for relatively cheap. I would like to get some sort of boost to help add gain to the Fat channel on my Roadster. The resonance switch also intrigued me, but I'm looking mainly for just a pedal to help OD my Fat channel.

Are there any tonal differences between 50 and 100 watts on a Roadster (or other Rectifiers?) besides the amount of volume required to get a good overdriven sound?

The L500XL is a really big pickup. It is just about as tall as the bridge pickup cavity in my strat. Its cover also makes it about 2mm wider than the space in the pickguard. Has anyone else run into these issues? Should I even bother trying to make the pickup fit- since it will only be a few...
