    Bugera mark V clone?

Bugera/Behringer must have a kick *** legal department behind them.

widebody closed back + widebody open back?

What don't you like about the RK 2X12? Doesn't it have 1/2 open (C90) and 1/2 closed (V30)?

Going with a new tube set on MKV

All I want to say is thank-you to those of you who recommended swapping V1,V2, V3. I just put some TS Gold pin and can notice a big difference, especially with note separation/definition. It's just great, but now I have to go buy some more tubes :D

    MK V Lateral Change -->NAD

Hey, nice little rig....very similar to mine. You'll probably notice a big difference once you add the WB ported with the V30. It will fill out the sound. I'm running two 1X12 cabinets. The top cab is a Mesa 1/2 open widebody with an EV12L. The bottom cab is a LOPO closed back with a WGS V30...

Going with a new tube set on MKV

Yes, please report back your findings. I just ordered some Tung-Sol's golds for V1, V2, V3. I'll try these for now and see how they sound.

    Newby question

Also, keep in mind that the sounds you hear on records those guitars have been at least double, triple, or maybe even quad tracked. Many times with different guitars and amps. This adds significant gain, saturation and thickness. In reality each guitar was probably tracked with 1/2 the gain you...

    Mark V b ???

Why wait bro??? Just pick up version A now, and let 'er rip. When version B comes up on the horizon, just sell the A, if you absolutely have to have version B. I just couldn't imagine waiting indefinitely for version B, which in all likely hood is probably a few years down the road (just my...

Silent recording with Mark V? (Like the Mark IV option?)

The other option is to use the Slave Out, but then you'll have to unplug the speakers for silent recording. Make sure you have a dummy load connected (i.e. hotplate, weber mass etc.) if you unplug the speakers, otherwise you'll damage the amp. The Slave Out is the line out signal post preamp &...

Highly considering selling both my amps to buy a Mark V...

Go for it! You won't regret the MKV. I was lucky enough to have kept my IV short chassis head. I just plugged it in yesterday for the first time in 4 month and it blew me away. Don't get me wrong I love my MKV, best amp I've owned.

So who is keeping their Mark V?

    Yup, keeping mine til I die:D . I think it's a step-up from my MKIV(a) which I still have.

    Just got my head! Serial-MK5-316

I got it at Long, I pre-ordered months ago and got the email yesterday, that it was in. I just plugged it into my two 1X12 wide cabs at very low volume (11:30pm), love what I'm hearing so far. Tomorrow I will try with the 4X12 (V30s). GT's :D

Anybody actually sell there Mark IV to fund there Mark V

I'm keeping my Mark IV Short Head for now. It's such an awesome amp. I have the A version (circa 1991). I would have a very tough time letting it go (if I ever did). I actually thought about turning my MKIV short head into a compact combo with hardwood cabinet and wicker grill, once I get my MKV...

Mark V Clean VS Roadster Clean

That's probably because you need to run the Mark V through a 4X12 cabinet. Although I'm still waiting for my Mark V head, I'm just assuming from my experience with the Mark IV. I did not like the 1X12 combo, but the head through a 4X12 cabinet...is tone heaven :D

    My MARK V Combo Clips

It's funny that you say that....that was my main reason for choosing the MK V over the Axe-Fx a couple of months ago. From the people I've talked to and posts I've read, everyone seemed to be spending an awful amount of time tweaking the Axe-FX. From the clips I've heard, it does sound...

Sweet, thanks for the update, that gives me at least another 4 weeks to save some $$$ for my pre-ordered head.
