I just switched from SED winged C EL34s to a quad of Ruby Tubes EL 34 BHTs - what an improvement - they seem to sound even better/fuller in the Mark V's poweramp than the SEDs. Does anyone else here use them? Opinions?

Well, I used Ernie Ball 0.09 to 0.46 Hybrid Slinkys plus a 0.58 low b string before I purchased the MKV. A few weeks ago I switched to Elixir 0.11/0.14/0.18/0.32/0.42/0.52/0.68 strings on my main guitar (a PRS 7-string). That thicker set of strings sounds that much better than the thinner...

V1 for all channels V2 for the 2nd channel V3 for all channels, but not really all-important v4/5/6 ar not that important imho v7 as pi is the most important after V1 EL34s were not my favorite tube before either, but they sound really good in that amp. Try to be open minded ;-)
