I'm sure this might have come up but I want some opinions.

I have just bought a TC Nova Delay and Modulator which do about all the effects I will need. I too wanted to cover most bases and I also wanted presets I could change during sets for different songs but didn’t want or need pre amps, distortions , modellers etc. I have only played around with...

    Pickups?

The description on the website says the H3s were designed especially for Rectos. Thats what got my attention.

    Pickups?

Anyone had any experience with Tom Anderson pick ups? I am looking at the H3+ for the bridge through a Single Recto for mainly high gain sounds.

BBE Supa Charger vs T Rex Fuel Tank

I currently have in my sights either a BBE Supa Charger or a T Rex Fuel Tank. The BBE is cheaper and has two 12v outlets which are perfect for my two TC Nova pedals as well as 9v outlets for my other pedals. Ultimately the pedal board will consist of an Ibanez Weeping Demon wah, two TC novas, a...

    Choosing a chorus pedal

Roadster Effects Help - I'm looking into pedals

The TC Nova Delay is small and relatively cheap and offers 8 presets. I have just recieved mine and cant wait to try it but it looks very flexible and not too complex.

220V and Mesa amps in europe/Australia

I am not an electronics expert but I run a 500w step down transformer with no problems and have heard the same from a few others. Mine is electrically isolated and the earth is carried through the 240v plug to the 110v plug earth so I can’t see a problem in my limited knowledge. It also has a...

220V and Mesa amps in europe/Australia

You would get a Dual Recto head from the US second hand for around AUS$2000. Even if you had to buy the cab here you would save at least a grand I rekon.

220V and Mesa amps in europe/Australia

They are not alone. I just ordered 2 TC Nova pedals from the US on EBay for AUS$230.00 ea plus shipping and they retail in Oz for around $450. Seems we get the shaft big time. I will be ordering most of my pedals from the US from now on especially while the Aus$ is so favorable.

220V and Mesa amps in europe/Australia

I have heard Pro Audio Australia will sell the transformers. I suggest you contact them. If not you may be able to get one from Mercury Magnetics which I understand are great replacement. I intend to eventually go down one of those paths. In the mean time I am just enjoying playing it.

220V and Mesa amps in europe/Australia

I bought a Single Recto from the US second hand off EBay for AUS$965.00. Bought it into Australia with DHL. As I got it for under AUS$1000 it attracted no Duty or Tax. The last second hand one on EBay went for AUS$1800. A new Single Recto here retails for AUS$3400. Best I could do would have...

220V and Mesa amps in europe/Australia

I don’t think there is room for two Mesa importers into such a small market. And I am sure Pro Audio have stitched it up.

    Single Recto effects loop

Also interesting stuff here. http://forum.tcelectronic.com/viewtopic.php?pid=10313 Who uses analog as opposed to digital effects then?

    Single Recto effects loop

Yeah ditto for the series one then?

    Single Recto effects loop

From what I have read the effects loop on the Single Rectos is less than ideal. I experienced this last night when I ran a chorus through mine. I have only had the amp a couple of weeks but the previous week with nothing in the loop and the mix knob set to low the thing sounded superb. This week...

    Rectifier Footswitch Problem

Maybe worth getting looked at. My single Recto (version 1) switched seamlessly.

220V and Mesa amps in europe/Australia

I bought a Single Recto from the States to Australia and bought a 500w step down transformer like this. It was Aus$200 and I got the amp for Aus$960 which is a bargain for getting one here. (AUS$3400 retail new!!!!) You can get replacement transformer for around $300 and I believe they are...

    Recto noob

Thanks, I am not intending to do anything but the amp is a few years old and I wanted to know in case I had to replace one.

    Recto noob

Nuther question. How does one remove the metal caps on the preamp tubes? Do they just pull off?
