Using 6v6's? I run the Diodes all the time with 6L6's and EL34's .I use the tube rec sometimes too. I love having the option to use both depending on the sound I want.

If you can swing it the MK v will do anything you need.

I would go with the V30's for recto/metal stuff. Took me a long time to figure out why Mesa put C90's in some cabs and V30's in others.I have a 4X12 with V30's ,sounds great with anything.

Never had a problem running EL 34's at full power. I don't do it alot but it has been tried. Mine went in for service a while back and I had everything tested.Everything worked with all settings for 6L6,EL34 and 6v6 as I use the amp with all the tube options.Also had them try all the tubes...

I always use Mesa tubes.I had problems with a nom Mesa tube a while back. I do have 4 winged C's that were in the amp when I got it and sound fine. Try the Mesas would be my advice

I had this happen too.Call Mesa find a authorized service center. They will get the correct part for you. Use only Mesa tubes to prevent this in the future. Hope this helps and you get your amp fixed soon. PS find the right value fuse

Tube problems are so annoying. Glad it was an ez fix.

MT, IIRC the rectifier tube socket had to be replaced. When the rectifier tube went it damaged the resistor,they replaced the whole thing. I had no Idea how old the tubes were when I got it.JJ GZ34 was the culprit. Finally put a new Mesa in there.Could have been an old tube(?) Winged C 6L6's...
