mine is the black dot mk3.simulclass,eq and reverb.its combo.never played other stripe before,i find it has a raw tone to it and more than enough gain.i use only the clean and lead channel...Go for it. Rectos dont do it for me too..

u must be in a loud band eh..Strategy 400 is way too loud.try the 290/2100...

Mark III.. Play around with the tubes and speakers... Cant comment on Mark I...Never play one before....

U mod both section?I have the early Mark III combo(White Tolex)..Black dot i think...I feel the amp needs more gain..But i still love the amp though..Just curious wat the mods will turn the amp into.

Nothing sounds like a Marshall...If u like Marshall tone get the Marshall amps.Not Boogies. Maybe u can try slave the Mark 4/3 amp to a Marshall EL34 50/100 poweramp :idea:

Anybody have played the TriAxis with the MKIII combo/head as poweramp before?I'm wondering can the onboard 5 band graphic eq on the MKIII be use and fine tune the TriAxis?
