I use the Ground Control and the GCX with my Mark V, TC Electronic G Major 2, and pedals. Everything works wonderfully together!

I used to have this same problem in a Nomad 45 that I owned. Believe it or not, it was because NOTHING was in the FX loop. In order to solve the problem, I either had to have something in the loop...OR, simply one cable plugged into the in/outs of the loop. Then the problem would stop.

Have you tried John Petrucci's Road King settings? I'm not a huge fan, but I like his sound, and it's tight. If I remember correctly, he doesn't use the EL34s on the RK, so it should translate perfectly to the Roadster. May be a good starting point for you...

Well, the amp itself seems to be in GREAT shape. Problem is that one of the 6L6s was bad. So, I temporarily replaced it with an unmatched spare I had. GC is going to give me a matched pair tomorrow. Played it and tweaked it for about 30 minutes. So far, don't like it as much as my Mark V...

Yeah, GC can be hit or miss, however, I ordered a Mark V head from them about a year ago for $1200, and it was in brand new condition. Manufactured in 2013, and even smelled fresh from the factory. Hoping for another gem like that. Will let you know on Tue.
