    Wow ! totally different animal, difference is night and day "liked" the other speaker, but was missin some top end sparkle The Blue sure does sparkle, and really adds some dimension Now I know what they mean by harmonically rich Really a BIG difference, different amp altogther love it so far...

    I'm just guessin but since in 5 watt mode, the amp runs off one tube in 15 watt mode, the amp runs off 2 tubes 30 watt...all 4 maybe you lost 2 of the tubes 30 watt was just using the other 2 ???

    it's not bad, looking for a slight different tone my LSS in in a wood cab, and it sounds diff than the standard one and thanks for the warning platypus, I mostly use it at home, and don't crank it. May not even try the 30 watt mode much but thanks for the warning and since I mentioned my wood...

    V30 - C90 confusion

    thanks for all the replys the V30 I purchased was actually from Mesa Boogie in Hollywood, and it is very far from harsh when I switch back to the C90, the mid/highs are a bit more pronounced ideally from the C90, I was trying to extend the highs, and perhaps tighten the bass a tad thought...

    now I'm really confused (this is nothing new) thought the blue dog/celestion blue were top end chimey darker than a V30? experimenting could get real pricey, really quick

    OK, I've always heard the V30 is mid-range harsh but I bought one anyway, cuz I like the way they have sounded in some of the cabs that I've tried compared to my C90, the V30 sounds scouped and warmer granted it's new, but it's not even close was actually looking for the ideal speaker for me...

    Hi Russ, you in So Cal.... Rockit in Brea has more Boogies in stock than Boogie themselves was just at an Andy Timmons/Mesa demo there last week. They have a wall of Boogies, Road King II, Roadsters, Stillettos.... the whole shabang...and loads of custom order stuff.... went home with this bad...

    Thanks for the replies and comments. RR, that is actually a Reissue Twin, the Deluxe Reverb is off to the side :-) and I thought it would be "thunkier" too but it is actually tighter, and brighter, has a bit more bite than the my other setup which is shown below. Especially in the gain...
