Why so many posts about JJ tubes?

Cause RCA's, JAN/Phillips, Amperex, Mullard, all the ones we REALLY want are a lot more expensive, and only a little better.

    RK2: 8-16 Ohm Speaker Output

Old ones have 2 4Ohm, and an 8-16(combo) jack. At least the combos do.

Good, Cheap amp stand for my 125 pound RK combo???

Dude, you're already dragging out a 125 lb amp. That's not exactly lazy. If mine wasn't covered in blue suede, I'd probably put legs on it myself. You could always build a wooden cradle, put some rubber on it, and call it a day. I think you would be disappointed with the amp if it were...

Good, Cheap amp stand for my 125 pound RK combo???

The best stand for a RK combo is a 4X12. I know, it doesn't meet the criteria, but it kicks ***. A road case would take up less space than the extra empty black box. If you're into the look the black box gave you, you could alwayspaind the road case to look like a cab. That would be neato torpedo.

    Road King

Whether it does or not, the absence of the Pentode switch between the EL 34's should be a dead giveaway. From the front panel, unless they now say Series 2, or 2 or something, I'd imagine they'd be indistinguishable. In the pic dude posted, it looks like there's a "2" after Road King on the...

    Road King

Loop 2 used to be a parallel loop, now it's series. No need for a send knob.

Mesa Boogie F-30 enough clean headroom?

I wouldn't call the F-30 "chimey" but I did like the amp. Supposedly it's 22 watts. I had used it on larger stages, and I wasn't able to turn it up quite as high as I would have liked. My drummer wasn't the hardest hitter, though.

What I'd like to see in a new Mesa amp...

Not sure what you're saying. Im saying add a row of "C" jacks for a third cab.

What I'd like to see in a new Mesa amp...

Just to get ridiculous, add 4 EL84's and a vox/fat/brit preamp channel to the road king, and the ability to switch one more cab. Might as well go the full monty, switchable trannies for each power section, and two footswitchable stages of power attenuation. Should weigh in at around 145 lbs or...

    Guitar-Amp combinations

A guy I knew recommended a BBE sonic maximizer in the loop. They're not terribly expensive, come up used all the time, and may be what you're looking for.

    The most beautiful guitars.

Not my guitars. I'm not being a wiseass, here, just trying to help out... If you right-click on a pic, sometimes, you can find out where it comes from. I'd have had to wait a bit longer to find out that those were Myka Guitars had I not clicked on "properties" and found the link to his website...

Who prefers piezos to a real acoustic?

I thought the same thing when it first came out. I thought ****, it's so dynamic, and it sounds real. Great concepts, and the dynamic range and feedback rejection are second to none. But after playing an ES equipped guitar at volume, I'm over my initial excitement. It sounds more like a jazzbox...

    Changing jewel lights

I bought a handful once, the purple(violet), the blue, the green, amber, clear, and white. The Green looks green on any amp I've tried it on. Like the guy said earlier, though, the blue one looks more blue-green. The lamp in the Angel has a line on it, so there's this weird dark stripe visible...
