I know... wtf? Other than the different power settings and record out level, it really isn't much different than any other amp. It took me a whole 20 minutes to find a good tone to start out with.

Didn't you already answer your question? Keep the bass down on the main dial to keep it tight but add some on the graphic EQ for more oomph.

In my opinion, the MKIV sounds great at low volumes. Don't believe half the **** you hear on this forum for it's coming from only a fraction of people who actually own this amp. Any amp is going to sound better at higher volumes, but that's where the speaker is moving more air in addition to...
