Aren't Ruby Tubes from different sources like Groove Tubes? Those companies test and grade them? I mean as opposed to Tung Sol which is a brand?

I have some reservations about the 3rd channel due to the fizziness of the high at times. The mids can be hard to dial in too. I am thinking of experimenting with the EL 34s when I can afford some. Do they sound significantly different or is it more of a subtle change? I do love the 6L6...

In my case the speakers are well broken in already (2x12 Marshall cab with Celestion G12-80) so whatever the reason I am really loving this amp. I have not tried the amp with the loop bypassed yet. That should be fun!

I am really loving this amp but the Extreme mode is the only one I have not found appealing. It just sounds harsh to me but i must admit that I have not given that mode much time.

Excellent! I just had that happen last week so you saved me a trip to the store. I couldn't get the amp out of the chasis. Is there a trick to it? I thought it would be the same as the Fender type amp.

The Mark V has great cleans but I don't think it has the Lonestar clean, not quite. That would be too good to be true. However the amp is new to me so perhaps I just haven't found it yet. I also would love to see some settings!

I rarely use Ch 1 in Tweed mode though. Is it a hit when using the Normal and Fat settings too?
