I just can't dial out the nasty highs on the V. with the v25, it can be easily rolled off from the treble knob.

I think the main issue is the difference between the tone stack. The treble on the v can't go past 12 uo'clock or it starts to sound thin, while on the 25, it won't sound thin till 3 o'clock. I thought they have the same tone stack

Under the same settings, my mark v's clean channel sounds very thin compared to my mark v25. Same cab, guitar. I changed v1 and v3 but same results. Is this by design or is my mark v faulty?

My mark v sound a lot thinner at the same setting than my mark v25. I have to roll the treble back a lot to 11 o clock to get close to the mark v25 clean. Why is this? Same tubes and everything

I guess that's my only concern. We have a pretty loud drummer and I want to be able to cut through without a PA at least for rehearsals.

I already have a mark v head for that purpose i guess. I can have something smaller. But will the iv be such a classic that one day I will kick myself for it? Or the opinion is neutral?

I know hot temperatures are bad for the capacitors. And in extreme cold, when you bring it in, you shouldn't turn it on at once until the tubes are warmed up back to room temperature.
