are there any differences tonally when going from the optional 35 watt output versus the normal outputs ?

is this safe to plug the 4 speakers into the optional 35 watt jack ? I want the most headroom possible out of this amp but don't want to damage anything

stock Mesa tubes in my 4x10 LSS.... sounds pretty good but the clean channel is a touch thin sounding so I might do a tube swap when I have some spare money, I do have JJ EL84s now but not sure if I have to rebias when adding these EL84s in over the stock mesa EL84s

there is no Tweed mode just 30 watt (solid state rectifier) 15 watt (tube rectifier) and 5 watt (tube rectifier Class A) Does having a tube rectifier give it more headroom though ?

I got this amp awhile ago and LOVE its look and sound but I have not had a chance to crank er at rehearsal yet.. does it have good headroom for a stoner rock band with its EL84 30 watt rating ?

Yeah we are usually mic'd so live I still get my sound which Is VERY good ... just wish at rehearsals it was the same!... thanks for the insight guys

That's my issue I can't get my sound from infront of the speaker everywhere no matter how much I mess with the EQ on the amp and pedals Great advice though.....

I actually have a tubescreamer so I will put that on my board and see if it helps!

Oddly enough I was actually playing pretty quiet today but it seems to do this a little bit still even when cranked up quite a bit

Thanks a bunch ! I think I'll just trade for the 5:50 and take my chances... I feel like it will have enough headroom for me, I don't need crystal clean cleans but just enough clean headroom that when I get a boost in gain and volume when I kick on a dirt pedal. does this amp get rehearsal (heavy stonerish rock) loud without breaking up too much ? I hate when my amp breaks up so much that when I kick on a distortion pedal or fuzz there is no OOMPH and punch its just all sloppy and muddy
