    Interesting LSC effects loop test

Maybe it was the patch cable used that didn't sound good with the loop engaged. It's a variable; you can't discount it. You'll have to try different cables blindly as well to really do the test right.

LoneStar Owners...How Much Does Your Hum?

I've got a LSS Head into a Marshall 1960B and there is no noise except for the fan. Quietest amp I've heard.

    Shredding into a Lone Star?

I play extreme metal with a Ibanez rg1527 and rg7321 through my LSS head into a 4x12 with celestion g12 century vintages. I use the 5 watt setting on the drive channel and put the master at about 6, the gain about 6 as well and the drive at around 4-5. The mid knob stops being effective with...

    v-twin tubes

Lonestar Special Channel 2 Mid sucks

Yeah, when I've got the gain really high the tone stack is quite a bit less effective, with the mid knob being almost useless. That's the way it is though!

    Two 20/20 questions

I’ve got two question I hope someone may know the answers to. Firstly, If I replace the 12AX7’s (say with the new GT mullard re-issues) in my 20/20 Power amp will it have to be re-biased? Secondly, is it possible to bridge this amp for a single output of 40 or so watts? Thanks,

    First Axe

My first guitar was a BCRich Platinum Bich. I still have it and it still playes well. I modded it with PRS Dragon II Pickups. It has a nice playing neck but is very neck heavy when strapped on standing up.

Groove Tubes 12AX7-M Mullard reissue review

I just replaced the stock tubes in my V-twin with the Mullard reissues. Previously I had found the red channel to be too loose in the lower end but with the switch, the red channel is tighter and more articulate. I'm going to try them in my 20/20 next.
