New to the community and finally have a mesa in my setup!
Just picked up a Mesa dual 20/20 rack mount that Im running my Engl 530 tube preamp through. I’m currently using the “slave out” feature to capture the sound of the additional tone of the mesa, but then actually run it through my rocktron velocity 100 solid state power amp… The velocity has an incredibly neutral sound, so the volume is there when needed and without having to mess with the levels so I’m actually keeping my sound no matter what the occasion calls for!
Anyone else running a mesa 20/20 in “slave out”? I am in love with this feature!!
*** Btw my cleans are crisp and full, with tons of headroom and my heavy tone is straight up massive!!! I now have a whole new level of gain if ever needed and so much contour to play with I’ll be dialing in for days on end!!
